The story of Tavneet and Balkarn begins in San Francisco—a city of steep hills, sweeping views, and, as fate would have it, perfect timing. They met during a formative chapter in their lives: Balkarn was deep into his residency in Anesthesiology at UCSF, and Tavneet was building her career in the fast-paced world of biotechnology. Despite their long hours and intense schedules, their connection was instant—effortless, genuine, and quietly electric.

They quickly discovered that they shared more than a mutual appreciation for hard work—they had both grown up deeply rooted in the love of their family and siblings, and they had each spent years collecting stories and stamps from around the globe. Their first date was supposed to be casual, but it turned into a night they would never forget. They talked for hours, completely losing track of time, until they realized they were the last two people left in the room. Somewhere between shared laughter and traded travel tales, they learned that they were born on the same day—a coincidence that felt too serendipitous to ignore.

Later that evening, after parting ways, they each reached for their phones and sent the same sentiment at the same exact time: What a beautiful moment in time. It was a small gesture, but it spoke volumes. They were in sync from the very beginning.
